EXHIBITION ADVICE
Toby’s top tips on how to make your stand the best
Following many years of supplying exhibition solutions to customers around the world, we are frequently asked for advice about all aspects of running exhibitions and conferences. Toby Milan, Managing Director of Twist and Expo, offers his top tips to a successful event.
Tip number one
- Take your time and study the floor plan before you book your space – think about where you’ll get your biggest exposure.
Tip number two
- Don’t buy a space that you can’t afford to fill. A smaller well dressed space will get you more attention than three white walls.
Tip number three
- Walk the walk – When dressing your stand, imagine you are a visitor attending the show. Walk past your space. What would catch your eye. How does it look? Which way are attendees coming from?
Tip number four
- Consider whether your stand is a one-off purchase or if you should you treat it like an investment. Purchasing a reusable banner system could pay dividends in the long run, and can be adapted to different sized spaces.
Tip number five
- Think about who is going to be assembling the stand. Do you need to rope in extra hands to get the stand ready in time?
Tip number six
- Gimmicks can get you attention, but do they get you the business? Think carefully about what you are going to give away on your stand.
